When you’re in the music industry, you learn a lot about what can go well in a wedding. I have played around 500 weddings in the past 5 years, and my colleagues have played hundreds, if not thousands more. Together, Landolfi has truly seen it all!
If you’re an engaged couple, or perhaps a loved one helping to coordinate the wedding, here are 3 tips to help you get through the process like a champion.
- Just relax. At the end of the day you will be married, no matter what may go awry during the wedding. Landolfi once played an outdoor ceremony in mid-40-degree weather. Our hands were too cold to move. Our instruments sounded squeaky and thin. The bridesmaids stood shivering in their thin outfits (no one had prepared for an indoor plan B). Despite all of this… they were married in the end!

2. Go with the flow. Enjoy the little unplanned surprises, like a young ring-bearer sprinting down the aisle… away from the altar instead of towards it!
3. Savor it and slow down. This is your day!
And as always… enjoy the music!
